There’s a great song from the band Fall Out Boy called “Sugar We’re Goin Down”. My favorite line from it follows: “We’re goin’ down, down in an earlier round. And Sugar, we’re goin’ down swinging.” Whenever I’m going through a tough time, I like to listen to this song for inspiration. It totally motivates me.
In 1994, when I was 25 years old, a friend and I got into a brawl with a group of guys at a house party in our home town of Reseda, CA. One of them pulled a 5” buck knife on me and started hacking away. I was stabbed numerous times and left to die in a pool of my own blood. In case you were wondering, I lived. When I recovered, my friend told me he saw me on my knees swinging away as I was bleeding out. I was taught to always go down swinging.
There’s a great line from Captain Picard in the movie “Star Trek: First Contact” (I'm a sci-fi nerd). In reference to the Borg, one of the Federation's enemies, he says:
“We’ve made too many compromises already; too many retreats. They invade our space and we fall back. They assimilate entire worlds and we fall back. Not again! The line must be drawn here! This far, no further! And I will make them pay for what they’ve done!”
Not coincidentally, the Borg were a race that forcefully subordinated individualism to the collective (i.e. the state). This is what today’s Democrat party is doing, and everything that Picard uttered is how I feel about them. They can go no further, and I will make them pay for what they’ve done to America!
Having written the above, I’m not sure we can win this fight. As you'll read, Liberal Democrats control the schools and universities and teach our children to hate the white race, Republicans and America itself. They control almost all major media where they reinforce these messages. They control the major social media platforms and use them to censor conservative voices and suppress negative stories about their own party. They’ve infected professional sports leagues and corporate Human Resources departments with "woke" (i.e. marxist) ideology. Both now propagate and impose it upon American society. They control most federal bureaucracies and many of the courts. As I write this, woke ideology has metastasized throughout all branches of our military like the mind virus that it is.
Even though I may have to go down swinging again, I know this is a fight worth fighting. During 2020 and 2021, I spent a few hours each weekend studying liberal Democrat ideology to try and understand what the hell is going on. I also wrote this essay to combat it. Nobody paid me to do it. I did it out of a sense of duty. As you’ll read, the ideology is dismantling everything that made America America. It must be stopped. I also own a successful small business that requires me to work 40 – 50 hours a week. My goal is to transition out of my business in order to spend the rest of my life fighting against this authoritarian, collectivist, statist takeover. I need your help to do so. Feel free to contribute anything you can afford.
If you like my essay, please pass it on to everyone you know. Especially send it to liberals. Most of them don’t realize what their party has mutated into. If they knew, I believe they’d abandon it. My goal is to enlighten them. Together we can do so and restore freedom to our country.
